About us

Yap Loh & Partners LLP is a multi-service law firm that represents and advises its clients in the following practice areas: corporate, litigation, intellectual property, data protection & technology, employment law, conveyancing & land law, family law and trusts, estate planning & estate administration.

Our firm is co-owned by 2 equity partners, Mr Loh Kim Kee and Mr Justin Tan. Together, our partners take pride in offering effective and pragmatic solutions to our clients’ legal matters.

Our clients range from MNCs, prominent local companies, large organisations (LOs), SMEs, financial institutions, high net worth individuals and private individuals. Our firm is able to act for various major banks in Singapore (including UOB, OCBC Bank and Maybank) in various conveyancing transactions.

Our firm was founded in 2003 when Mr Loh Kim Kee and Mr Yap Boh Lim teamed up to commence practice under the name of Yap Loh & Partners. After Mr Yap’s retirement in 2008, the firm operated as a sole proprietorship under Mr Loh. In 2012, the firm reverted to a partnership with the addition of Mr Justin Tan as a partner and subsequently converted to a limited liability partnership under its current name Yap Loh & Partners LLP.

Loh Kim Kee co-founded the firm in 2003. He has over three decades of experience across litigation and non-litigation work, from accident and personal injury claims, civil and criminal litigation and family law to corporate work, conveyancing and estate planning. He holds an LLM from the National University of Singapore, is a Barrister-at-Law (Lincoln’s Inn), and is appointed a Commissioner for Oaths and a Notary Public. He speaks English, Hokkien and Bahasa Melayu.

Justin Tan has been an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore since 2001 and became a partner in 2012. His corporate work covers commercial contracts, investments and M&A, employment, intellectual property, information technology and data protection. For private clients he handles conveyancing, criminal and family matters, and trusts, estate planning and estate administration. He holds an LLB (Honours) from the National University of Singapore and speaks English and Mandarin.
